Engaging in counselling, or talk therapy, is an opportunity to enhance and promote your positive growth, well-being, and mental health. The process is collaborative and looks a bit different for each person. Treatment might focus on reducing distress and undesirable symptoms, improving coping skills and functioning, providing psychoeducation, and promoting healthy lifestyles.

I’m Dr. Shannon Tabor, a Registered Psychologist based in Calgary, Alberta - here to support you through some of life’s most complex and difficult challenges.

I integrate the mind, brain, body and sociocultural context in my understanding and treatment of the concerns and challenges that trouble my clients. Each person who sees me is offered individualized care to match their needs. While the specific evidence-based interventions I implement will vary from client-to-client, my approach is always trauma-informed and person-centred. I work collaboratively with each client to explore the problem, garner insight, and determine the best way forward.

Client well-being, choice, dignity, and respect are my top priorities. Each client is given space to share their story and identify their treatment goals and are then offered individualized support in meeting those goals.
